T.J. Maxx Volunteers Give BHS a Day of Service
8 June, Fort Lauderdale – T.J. Maxx coordinated with Broward Housing Solutions® to help make one of BHS®’ properties more beautiful. Twenty store employees, managers, and their family members came from various T.J. Maxx stores took time out of their morning to volunteer and help repaint one of BHS®’ Fort Lauderdale properties, Clusters 9.
These wonderful volunteers re-painted the exterior of an 8-plex apartment building, which houses 24 total residents consisting of adults and children, with materials generously donated by Lowe’s of Oakland Park.
“I am always amazed by the amount of support our community provides in order to continue housing our clients and their needs. T.J. Maxx and the TJX Foundation have been long time donors to BHS® by volunteering both their time and resources into our programs ensuring our clients have a quality place to call home”, said Christina Disbrow, Director of Development for BHS®.
The efforts of these volunteers has created an additional sense of pride for the location our low-income mentally ill residents call home.
