Established in April 2016, Senior Solutions offers independent, permanent, and 
affordable housing for chronically homeless seniors, who have been diagnosed with a Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). Tenants are able to choose their housing through BHS®-approved third party landlords.
Sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this program provides Broward Housing Solutions® the ability to offer affordable, subsidized rents to each tenant and their family, based on only 30 percent of their gross monthly income.
The mission of Broward Housing Solutions®, founded as a 501(c)(3) in 1993, is to provide quality, permanent and affordable housing opportunities to meet the needs of lower income or homeless
persons with disabilities who also have a mental illness.
