CEO
Rocco joined Broward Housing Solutions in 2024. Rocco was born and raised in New York City and has lived in South Florida for several years. He received his BA in Urban Planning and Public Policy from State University of New York, College at Purchase. While at Purchase Rocco served as a VISTA Intern engaged in low-income housing and community preservation issues. He received his JD from the City University of New York School of Law which he focused on public interest advocacy.
Upon completion of his studies, Rocco started his distinguished career leading diverse not for profit organizations in New York, Connecticut and Florida. As the leader of two community action agencies, he helped orchestrate the growth of each organization which resulted in increased program services including expanding access to habitable affordable housing to those most at risk. He also worked on issues such as affordable childcare, education equity, employment and training and food security. He also has been an effective fundraiser and raised over $16 million to renovate and expand an early childhood center.
Rocco strongly believes that dedication to mission can only be achieved through inclusion, engagement, communication and transparency. Through his career his has built collaborations between key community stakeholders in order to bring additional resources and high impact programs to individuals and families. He views this position with Broward Housing Solutions as a wonderful yet challenging opportunity to provide permanent housing to the homeless population in Broward County and to work with our partners in fulfilling our mission.

Chief Program Officer
Amanda MacCormack joined Broward Housing Solutions in 2022 as the Chief Program Officer, bringing over a decade of experience in social services and advocacy. Prior to joining BHS, Amanda dedicated more than 10 years to working closely with survivors of domestic violence, serving in various capacities that reflect her deep commitment to supporting vulnerable and at-risk populations.
Throughout her career, Amanda has been a passionate advocate for systemic change, focusing on improving outcomes for survivors of violence by identifying resources, enhancing service delivery, and expanding access to safe and stable housing. She holds a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University (2009), obtained her licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in 2012, and went on to become both a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and an LMHC Qualified Supervisor.
Amanda has served on the Board of the Broward County Domestic Violence Council and contributed her expertise as a member of the Child Abuse Death Review Team and the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team.
Her professional background includes a wide range of roles, such as Domestic Violence Child Welfare Advocate, Child and Family Therapist, and Executive Leadership Team member. At BHS, Amanda brings extensive expertise in program management, leadership and staff development, community collaboration, budgeting, data analysis, and grant management—making her an integral part of the organization’s mission to provide housing and support to those in need.

Chief Financial Officer
Stephanie Rivillas originally joined Broward Housing Solutions in October 2016 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in April 2025. With a strong background in accounting and analytics, Stephanie brings valuable expertise from both the nonprofit sector and the commercial and residential real estate industries.
Her diverse experience allows her to provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability across the organization. Stephanie’s financial expertise is complemented by a people-focused perspective that helps align BHS’s financial operations with its long-term strategic objectives.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and earned her Master’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in December 2021.

Head of Human Resources
Genevieve “Gen” Auguste joined Broward Housing Solutions in August 2023 as Head of Human Resources, bringing over 20 years of comprehensive HR experience across multiple industries and roles. Her adaptable leadership style and deep passion for human resources have made her a valuable asset to the organization.
Prior to joining BHS, Genevieve served at another nonprofit organization, where her commitment to serving vulnerable populations was ignited. That experience further fueled her dedication to supporting mission-driven work through strategic and compassionate HR practices.
A strong advocate for people-first cultures, Genevieve is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and is certified as a SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional).

Housing Supervisor
Mark joined BHS in September 2020 as a Housing Specialist. Due to his handwork and accomplishments, he was promoted to Housing Supervisor in December 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in Social Work with various agencies throughout Broward and Palm Beach County. Mark is motivated by profound devotion to provide service and support to the less fortunate in our community. Mark has worked with a diverse population from youth to adult care during his career.
Mark earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Lincoln University and has gained certification in Behavioral Health Case Management.

Nataki Cooper joined Broward Housing Solutions in August 2022. Nataki has over 6 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, specifically Section 8. She aims to aid in the success of each resident by adding a clinical perspective to our safe and affordable housing model of service. She describes herself as determined, reliable and responsive and she is passionate about helping others.

Accounting Clerk
Aspirations to become an Architect like her mom one day, Valentina has been fiercely passionate about helping vulnerable populations in need. Volunteering with ‘Latinos in Action’, Valentina understood the importance of offering her time to serve as a literacy tutor for neighboring elementary immigrant children ages 5-11. Here, she helped kids integrate into their new schools, introduced them to new friends, translated information and assisted with homework.
Previously employed as a Front Office Receptionist at a local medical office, Valentina found it gratifying when assisting patients with their appointment scheduling and providing general information with a warm smile and compassionate care.
Within her Architectural studies, Valentina is currently taking courses in building construction and property management to better understand the various facets of how BHS acquires, builds, and rehabs its buildings to provide affordable housing.

Senior Accountant
John Beckford brings a wealth of experience to Broward Housing Solutions. Prior to joining BHS, John held various senior level accounting positions with private and nonprofit organizations such as Scotiabank, Citibank, Nova Southeastern University, Broward Health, Broward House, and most recently Broward County Government in the Human Services Department. John has also held the position of Division Controller for multinational corporations such as Fyffes, Hazara Seeds, and Tree of Life.
John developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector as a beneficiary of an informal youth development program while growing up in Jamaica and participated in the country’s National Youth Service Program.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, cum laude, and an MBA from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

Latonja joined BHS is August 2024. Latonja brings a wealth of experience in the social services field. Latonja has served throughout Broward County for more than 20 years performing Case Management and supportive services. She has a vast experience working with at-risk youth, vulnerable populations, families and the homeless. Additionally, Latonja spent more than 6 years assisting those in the labor force. Latonja strongly believes working to serve others is instrumental to her life’s work.

Kennia is a dedicated social services professional with experience supporting individuals, families, and communities. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Kennia holds a dual major BA degree in Public Administration and Sociology, providing a strong foundation in both organizational systems and human behavior.
Throughout her career, Kennia has worked with diverse populations, offering case management, resource coordination, and advocacy in areas such as housing stability, mental health, youth support, and crisis intervention. Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to equity, Kennia brings empathy, professionalism, and a people-centered mindset to every role.
With a passion for meaningful change and community impact, Kennia continues to grow through collaboration, continued education, and a drive to empower others.

Clinical Mental Health Therapist
Dr. Kristen joined Broward Housing Solutions® in May 2023 as the organization’s Clinical Mental Health Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University. Driven by a deep passion for mental health, she later pursued and completed her Master’s in Social Work at Florida Atlantic University.
Her clinical experience in dual diagnosis treatment facilities inspired her to become a Certified Addictions Professional, and she has also completed basic EMDR training to support clients with trauma-related needs. Dr. Kristen currently serves as a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and is actively working toward her licensure as an LCSW.
Grounded in a client-centered and empathetic approach, Dr. Kristen is committed to creating a safe, welcoming therapeutic environment. She focuses on empowering clients with emotional support, practical tools, and individualized strategies to help them maintain and strengthen their mental health.

Rafaela joined BHS in 2025. Rafaela is an experienced Clinical Housing Navigator with a strong background in housing navigation, mental health support, and Coordinated Entry systems. She has worked with organizations like Camillus House in Miami and the Raleigh Wake Partnership, helping individuals overcome homelessness and connect to vital services.
