Safe, stable housing is the foundation for recovery — and today, that foundation is at risk.
At Broward Housing Solutions, we believe that housing is the foundation for recovery, dignity, and stability. Many of the individuals we serve have experienced chronic homelessness while living with severe and persistent mental illness. Permanent supportive housing provides the stability they need to rebuild their lives, reconnect with services, and move toward long-term recovery.
To sustain this vital work, Broward Housing Solutions is launching a $1 million capital campaign, “Homes That Heal”, to preserve and improve our existing housing portfolio. Many of these properties are more than 30 years old, with some over 70 years old, and now require critical renovations to remain safe, stable, and sustainable for the residents who depend on them.
By investing in this campaign, donors are doing far more than funding building repairs. They are protecting life-saving housing for some of the most vulnerable members of our community and ensuring these homes remain a source of stability and hope for decades to come.
Today, the very homes that provide this stability are at risk.
Many of our properties are more than 30 years old — some over 70 — and are in urgent need of repair. Aging roofs, outdated electrical and plumbing systems, inefficient HVAC units, and structural wear threaten not only the buildings themselves but the safety and well-being of the residents inside.
Without immediate investment, these homes will continue to deteriorate. The consequences are severe: displacement of vulnerable individuals, loss of critical affordable housing, and a potential return to homelessness for those who have already fought so hard to rebuild their lives.
To meet this urgent need, Broward Housing Solutions is launching a $1 million capital campaign: Homes That Heal.
This campaign will fund comprehensive rehabilitation across multiple properties to ensure they remain safe, sustainable, and dignified places to live. Planned improvements include:
These renovations will preserve more than 100 units of permanent supportive housing and ensure they continue serving those who need them most.
Your support goes far beyond construction — it changes lives.
With these improvements:
By strengthening these homes, you are reinforcing a proven Housing First model — one that reduces homelessness, improves public health, and restores dignity.
Every door repaired, every roof replaced, every system upgraded is more than a fix — it is a promise.
With your support, we can preserve not just buildings — but the lives within them.
Together, we can ensure that these homes continue to heal for generations to come.
