Steven Holtz, CPA
Steven Holtz is an Audit Director with over 25 years of experience providing audit and accounting service, including financial statement audits of publicly-traded and closely held companies, mergers and acquisitions, registration of stock and public offerings and internal control assessment. Steven’s specialties are in Audit and Financial Reporting, Health care, Manufacturing and Distribution and Financial Service. “Joining Broward Housing Solutions’ board and making a difference in the lives of our community’s most in need, It is now time for me to give back”, Steven says.

Thomas Bluth
Tom, an attorney and accountant with extensive experience in legal, tax, accounting, construction and investment disciplines, currently holds the position of president of the Stiles Family Office, in Fort Lauderdale. He previously held positions as CFO and General for Counsel Reliance Housing Foundation, Inc., and EVP, CFO and General Counsel for Ellis Diversified, Inc., both in Fort Lauderdale. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association. Bluth, a Davie resident, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Legum Magistri (LL.M.-Taxation) from Washington University in St. Louis.

Lloyd Plummer
Lloyd Plummer has worked in the banking sector for over 20 years in the Southeast Florida Market. He currently serves as a Client Specialist for First Horizon Bank serving the Palm Beach Market. Lloyd’s passion for the community has kept him engaged with the mission of Broward Housing Solutions where his talents and passion can be utilized to help others.

Alison Miransky
Alison Miransky is a licensed clinical social worker at Broward Health Medical Center and has a private psychotherapy practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A Frontline healthcare professional during the recent global pandemic, Alison holds additional credentials as a Qualified Supervisor for registered social work interns as well as from the Commission for Case Manager Certification. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and completed her graduate school training at Barry University with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2005. She is a PhD student at The Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago, Illinois and was awarded ICSW’s 2020 Social Service Agency Scholarship Alison lives with her husband, Neil and their Pekingese, Henry.

Chris Murphy
With 20+ years of South Florida real estate experience, Chris has worked with large national REITs, Pension Funds, and Private Developers on a wide range of properties including retail, industrial, office, and residential. In addition to his real estate experience, Chris devotes his time to the Northwest Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board of Directors, and to lecturing and mentoring within the Terry Stiles Master of Real Estate Program at Nova Southeastern University.
Having spent many years involved with the residents of Northwest Fort Lauderdale, Chris was able to witness the need for an organization like BHS to be at the core of the community to provide invaluable services to its residents that they simply cannot find elsewhere. Chris is excited to contribute to that effort through the BHS Board of Directors and to be able to contribute his time and experience to such a remarkable organization.

Angelina M. Gonzalez, ESQ
Angelina M. Gonzalez is an attorney at Dickinson Wright PLLC in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with more than ten years of legal experience. Mrs. Gonzalez’s practice areas include commercial litigation, administrative law, and healthcare. Mrs. Gonzalez’s strong commitment to her community is what led her to get involved with Broward Housing Solutions. Providing shelter and safety to the homeless population, with dignity and respect, is something Mrs. Gonzalez feels passionately about; she believes that BHS works hard every day to meet this need in our community.

Maria Felisa De Kler
Originally from Paraguay, Maria “Felisa” De Kler is an Associate nurse graduate from Medical Center of Delaware and a retired Certified Surgical Technologist. “I love my job and volunteering” states Felisa. Currently she serves as a Director, President of Fundacion Panambi, Inc., helping within the medical area in Paraguay. Additionally, Felisa has been volunteering in the community, serving as the Former Director of Women’s Journey Inc, from 2009 to 2020. She joined the Lions Club International(LCI) in 2012, serving as Director, President and Treasurer at Lions Club of Delray Beach. Felisa’s passion serving the community is contagious and she’s excited to have the opportunity to serve as a Board member of Broward Housing Solutions.

Alan Methelis
Alan Methelis, presently retired, was a General Magistrate for 20 years in Broward County hearing mostly guardianship incapacity, substance abuse, and Baker Act cases. During this time, he lectured on numerous occasions to attorneys and judges. His expertise in the Baker Act has been recognized statewide. He has served on several boards dealing with mental health issues and for several years was the chairperson of the Mental Health Board in Broward County. He has in the past served on the committee appointed by the Broward County Commission that determined funding from the County to not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Methelis was also an adjunct professor at the Nova Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, his graduate degree from Harvard University and his law degree from Suffolk University. He has been a resident of Broward County Florida since 1973 and now spends part of the year in Skaneateles, NY.

Marc Esko
Marc has been a long-time community resident, consumer advocate, representative and former BHS tenant. His wealth of experience supporting Broward County’s mental health population while serving on a variety of non-profit boards is how Marc educates community leaders to address vulnerable populations, specifically seniors. In addition to his current litany civic engagement and understanding the needs of low-income residents with behavioral health disorders, Marc decided to join BHS’s board serving as the voice of knowledge needed to enhance its mission, vision, and core values
Jarvis Brunson
Jarvis Brunson is a passionate community activist, nonprofit leader, and founder of Change Me Foundation Inc., a Fort Lauderdale–based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating, advocating, and empowering underserved populations. Born and raised in Florida, Jarvis has spent more than two decades advocating for youth, families, veterans, and seniors, with a strong focus on mental health awareness, youth development, and community sustainability. Holding a bachelor’s degree in social work, Jarvis has leveraged both lived experience and professional expertise to design programs that address emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges in at-risk communities. Under his leadership, Change Me Foundation has launched signature initiatives such as the Walk In My Shoes Children’s Mental Health Awareness 5K & Community Resource Fair, annual Back-to-School giveaways, holiday food and gift drives, and collaborative workshops with African American churches to break the stigma surrounding mental health. His work also spans advocacy on the five social determinants of health, ensuring communities have access to resources that foster long-term well-being. His dedication has earned him recognition from local, state, and national organizations for excellence in behavioral health, peer services, and nonprofit leadership. Driven by the belief that “every challenge is an opportunity to transform lives,” Jarvis continues to build partnerships, advocate for policy change, and create programs that turn trauma into success for countless individuals and families.
